Johnny is a character of the day who appeared in Shocks and Bonds. He is a Pokémon Trainer who took part in the Double Battle rounds of the Ever Grande Conference. Sometime before Ash had his battle with Clark in the third of the Trainer's Double Battles, Johnny was paired up with Tyson. He sent out his Aggron and Blastoise against Tyson's Sceptile and Donphan. After Ash and Morrison finished their battles, they both raced to see Johnny's battle against Tyson. By the time they got there, Johnny's Blastoise and Tyson's Donphan were both defeated, as indicated by the scoreboard. Johnny was down to his Aggron while Tyson had Sceptile. Johnny had trouble with Sceptile as Sceptile kept on using Detect and its speed to dodge his Aggron's Metal Claw. This caused Aggron to get tired out. Johnny had Aggron use Harden which gave Sceptile a chance to go for Solar Beam. Johnny saw this as an opportunity to finish Sceptile off by having Aggron use Metal Claw but Sceptile's Solar Beam finished charging and unleashed it at Aggron, defeating it.
