Minoru Kanuma is a member of Shishitoren. Kanuma is an average heighted teenager with black hair tied back with traces of shaved hair at the sides of his head. Kanuma carries a bitter and exasperated expression, often when irritated. He dons the Shishitoren Jumper on top of a black hoodie. Kanuma is an arrogant, smug and violent teenager, reflecting the infamous stereotype of Shishitoren. A notable bully, he has no qualms about chasing a middle schooler on their turf as sport all the while ridiculing his teammate who got beaten. Kanuma is seen to be very easily irritated, growing angry whenever insulted or ridiculed. He also seems to be a nervous wreck, as he shows visible levels of exasperation when things do not go his way. Kanuma looks up to and is very defensive of Arima, who is his dear friend. Otherwise he has a notable lack of empathy for anybody else, which Suo rubbed on his face as the reason he lacked true strength.
