The mayor of a small town is a character of the day who appeared in Wake Up Snorlax!. After Ash and his friends entered the town looking for food, the mayor took them in and provided them with a meal. As they were eating, the mayor explained the town's river had gone dry, and they didn't have any food as a result. Ash and the others decided to investigate, and they found a Snorlax had fallen asleep and was blocking the water from filling the river. Thanks to a hippie and his Poké Flute, the Snorlax moved out of the way and the town's water supply was restored. The mayor thanked the children by providing them with a banquet. (Source: Bulbapedia)
